Olympus 5MM Deflectable Videolaparoscope

OR Today Magazine | Product Showroom | Endoscopy

The Olympus EndoEye Flex 5 offers HD resolution in a 5 mm diameter scope. The device uses digital-chip technology to place the camera on the tip of the scope, delivering high-quality, bright images and enabling doctors to see fine details during surgical procedures. Additionally, the scope allows for 100-degree angulation in all directions. The deflectable tip on the EndoEye Flex 5 offers surgeons the flexibility to change the direction of view. It also minimizes potential collisions between instruments. The EndoEye Flex 5 is autoclavable, which can result in significant reprocessing cost savings for the hospital.

PCF-H180AL/I Colonoscope

OR Today Magazine | Product Showroom | Endoscopy

The PCF-H180AL/I colonoscope provides detailed images with a high-definition HDTV image sensor, while Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) illuminates mucosal and vascular patterns. The Close Focus function allows up-close viewing with no loss of resolution. The auxiliary water function can be combined with dedicated flushing pump, enabling removal of mucus and clots in the colon at the touch of a switch on the scope or on the footswitch unit. Innoflex Variable Stiffness capability allows adjustment of insertion tube flexibility to match the conditions and contours of the colon. The 3.2mm diameter channel accommodates a wide range of treatment devices. The insertion tube measures 11.8 mm across. Scope ID function stores individual scope information in the built-in memory chip and displays it on the monitor.

PILLCAM SB 2

OR Today Magazine | Product Showroom | Endoscopy

PillCam SB is a tool for visualization of the entire small bowel and for detecting small bowel abnormalities. It is the only capsule endoscope indicated for use in patients two years of age and older. The PillCam SB video capsule measures 11 mm x 26 mm and weighs less than 4 grams. The video capsule contains an imaging device and light source and transmits images at a rate of two images per second, generating more than 50,000 pictures during the eight-hour procedure. PillCam SB was initially cleared by the u.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2001. Now in its second-generation, PillCam SB 2 captures the broadest mucosal area per image with the widest field-of-view. In addition, advanced optics and Automatic Light Control improve image quality and illumination.
