Carestream Health executive Todd Minnigh, Vice President of Digital X-ray, Americas, will be giving a presentation entitled “Patient Satisfaction vs. Quality in Bedside Imaging” at the 2013 AHRA Association for Medical Imaging Management conference. Minnigh will speak on Sunday, July 28, from4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn.

His presentation will describe how improving the quality of bedside imaging is essential even under the most challenging of circumstances. “Patient satisfaction and comfort are key to delivering high-quality, personalized care, but getting the best bedside X-ray images may require actions that take more time or involve a higher degree of difficulty,” said Minnigh. “Patients that require bedside imaging are often too sick to transport to the radiology department, so we need to make sure we are taking the right steps and making the correct decisions in capturing high-quality portable images that can help physicians deliver optimal care.”

Key aspects of enhancing the imaging process include: properly using a grid; putting a bag over the DR detector to protect against infection; using powerful portable X-ray systems that can minimize motion; and tracking and managing dose to minimize patient exposure.

Carestream will also be displaying its medical imaging and IT solutions at Booth #416 as part of the AHRA exhibit. For more information about the company’s products and services please visit www.carestream.com.
