MD Publishing, publishers of TechNation magazine, is pleased to announce a new webinar series called “Webinar Wednesday.” The monthly webinars will focus on industry trends and hot topics. The free webinar series starts on Jan. 29 with “Troubleshooting Ultrasound Image Quality Concerns” sponsored by Trisonics.

In an effort to continue and provide top-quality educational opportunities for biomeds, clinical engineers and experts in medical equipment service TechNation magazine is teaming up with sponsors to provide monthly webinars on the last Wednesday of each month (except for months when there is a conflict with a holiday).

The first webinar, “Troubleshooting Ultrasound Image Quality Concerns,” will be held at 2 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Jan. 29. The event will be moderated by MD Publishing President John Krieg and will feature Trisonics Senior Territory Manager Hobie Sears. The webinar is ASRT-certified for 1.5 credits.

The 90-minute presentation will include tips to identify, troubleshoot and prevent ultrasound image quality concerns, as well as a live demonstration. Other key points of presentation include:

  • Moving beyond the transducer.
  • Isolating to the front end or back end of the unit.
  • What tools can help you resolve problems quickly?
  • Wrap it up, with a backup!

Individuals can register at http://tinyurl.com/TN-webinar1 and an email will be sent to each registrant with information about how to join the webinar on Jan. 29.

In February, Manny Roman, CRES, will present the webinar “Climbing the Ladder of Inference – How to Reach a Bad Conclusion.” The presentation will provide tips for making better decisions.

“Life and business force us to make many conclusions, judgments and actions throughout our day,” Roman explains. “Sometimes we arrive at inaccurate conclusions that cause improper actions and poor results. We will describe how the ladder of inference is both the cause and the solution for avoiding these unpleasant and unfortunate results.”

The February webinar is slated for 2 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
