Quantum Installs a Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital

Medical equipment manufacturer, Quantum Medical Imaging has completed the installation of a Quantum Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. The sale and installation was facilitated by Radiation Services of Indiana that is a certified Quantum / Carestream Dealer.

Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital, a part of Indiana University Health, has provided leading care to La Porte and the surrounding community for more than 100 years. IU Health La Porte Hospital was the first in Northwest Indiana to perform a da Vinci® Si™ Surgical System-assisted cardiovascular surgery.  IU Health La Porte Hospital was designated by U.S.News & World Report as a Best Regional Hospital for 2011–2012 for the specialty of Pulmonology. In addition, hip replacement care was nationally recognized, the stroke program earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers and the cancer program received the 2009 Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. The Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System installed at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital features a fully integrated X-Ray room that consists of a Quantum 65kW generator with a High Speed Starter, a Ceiling-Mounted Tube Support with TechVision™, an Elevating/Float-Top Radiographic Table with a Wireless DRX-1C Cesium detector and a Digital Wall Stand with a Fixed DRX Cesium detector. The DRX Cesium detectors provide lower dose imaging for improved patient care.
