Medical equipment manufacturer, Quantum Medical Imaging has completed the installation of a Quantum Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System at Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic. The sale and installation was facilitated by Capital X-Ray, Inc. that is a certified Quantum / Carestream Dealer.

When it comes to orthopaedic care, the Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic has been a benchmark for the West Georgia region for almost 40 years. Growth has been exponential at the clinic and this increase in volume made the selection of the Quantum radiographic system a perfect choice. “Ease of use, exceptional image quality, and a drastic increase in throughput are just a few of the perks we’ve experienced from the new system,” said Ben Butler, CEO of the clinic. He went on to say, “The crew at Capital X-Ray has been there every step of the way answering questions and providing top-notch support and applications training on the system. We’ve dealt with them for a while now and I knew they were going to take good care of us.” And he’s not the only one saying good things. Kim Richards, chief radiographic technologist for the site commented, “From a patient-care perspective, this system is really hard to beat. It makes me feel good to know that we’re decreasing the radiation dose that our patients are receiving while simultaneously getting better images than we’ve ever gotten before…It’s a win-win”. It’s this type of care that set’s Carrollton Orthopaedic apart from other facilities. The staffs’ members are trained in their specific fields of interest in making a patients’ care a unique experience.  Their community involvement includes providing orthopaedic care for area high school athletes in West Georgia and East Alabama. They are also the physicians for the University of West Georgia.

The Q-Rad-Digital Radiographic System installed at Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic features a fully integrated X-Ray room that consists of a Quantum high-frequency generator with a High-Speed Starter, a Ceiling-Mounted Tube Support withTechVision™, an Elevating/Float-Top Radiographic Table, a Digital Wall Stand, and a Wireless DRX Cesium detector. The DRX Cesium detector provides lower dose imaging for improved patient care.
