TOSHIBA’S KALARE WIRELESS X-RAY SYSTEM MAKES IMAGING MORE EFFICIENT

Kalare X-Ray System Now Available with a Wireless 14”x17” Panel

TUSTIN, Calif., Sept. 6, 2011> – Designed to improve productivity and efficiency in X-ray imaging, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. has introduced the KalareTM Wireless X-ray system. The Kalare Wireless includes the advanced technology from the original Kalare, plus a new wireless 14”x17” panel with a rotating bucky tray designed for optimal detector movement.

The Kalare Wireless enhances productivity by eliminating the restrictions of working with a tethered detector and the handling of multiple CR cassettes. The custom-designed rotating bucky tray rotates easily from portrait to landscape, reducing the need to lift and rotate the detector to increase productivity. This technology provides a 100 percent digital imaging solution, completely eliminating conventional film and the need for CR. The rapid processing and instant access to digital images reduce exam time and helps to improve workflow.

“The versatility of all-digital imaging, combined with a wireless detector, make the Kalare Wireless one of the most patient-friendly X-ray systems available,” said Stephen Bumb, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba. “The wireless detector can be easily positioned to accommodate exams performed in or out of the bucky tray, to help increase the diagnostic flexibility of the Kalare.”
