Carestream Health Scientists, Technologies Featured In Six RSNA 2011 Presentations

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 20> — Carestream Health’s scientific research and its innovations in medical imaging technology will be showcased in six presentations at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) being held Nov. 27- Dec. 1 in Chicago. Presentations include:

“Computer-Aided Detection of Malpositioned Endotracheal Tubes in Portable Chest Radiographs for ICU Patients”— Nov. 27 at 11:35 a.m. “Bridging the Gap: Using iPad for Instant Transfer of Images from ICU to Intensivists and Radiologists”— Nov. 29 at 10:30 a.m. "Imaging Performance of a Dedicated Cone-Beam CT System for Musculoskeletal Extremities"— Nov. 30 at 10:50 a.m. “Enhanced Digital Mammography: Dense-Tissue-Based Image Normalization for Improved Consistent Appearance of Mammographic Images”— Dec. 1 at 12:15 p.m. “Dedicated Gridded Cassettes: Effect on Digital Portable Chest X-ray Image Quality in the Intensive Care Unit" — Date and time to be determined closer to RSNA. In addition, an educational exhibit authored by physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital documents the use and benefits of Carestream’s wireless DRX detector for chest imaging in an intensive care setting. This exhibit is entitled: “Wireless Digital Chest Radiography in the Intensive Care Setting: Everything You Should Know.”
