TOSHIBA INTRODUCES NEW SOFTWARE FOR INFINIX-i VASCULAR IMAGING SYSTEMS TO FACILITATE FASTER, SAFER PROCEDURES
New Software Enables High-Speed 3D Reconstruction and Helps Lower Radiation Dose

SAN FRANCISCO, March 24, 2012 – Committed to developing technology to make vascular procedures faster, easier and safer, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. introduces new software for its InfinixTM-i vascular X-ray systems, enabling high-speed 3D reconstruction and low-contrast imaging. Toshiba will showcase the Infinix-i vascular X-ray product line at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) annual meeting, March 24 – 29, 2012 in San Francisco (Booth #1328).
The fast 3D image reconstruction speed is a valuable capability for interventionalists performing critical procedures, especially in the event of a complication. For example, if a bleed occurs during cerebral intervention, the fast 3D reconstruction enables clinicians to document the complication and display the anatomy to determine the next steps for treatment faster than before. When time is of the essence, the ability to quickly and accurately make a decision with greater confidence is critical.
Toshiba’s Infinix-i further enables high efficiency and productivity with hovercraft-like movement, resulting in unrestricted patient access from head to toe and fingertip to fingertip to facilitate advanced, complex procedures with ease.
