With high-tech equipment and patient care devices at the core of quality health care delivery, it’s imperative that biomedical engineers have a wide range of quality test instruments at their disposal to ensure that the equipment is operating at peak performance. For 25 years, Farmingdale, N.Y.-based Netech Corp. has been committed to fulfilling that essential need.

After more than two decades of business, the company continues to be a leader in the test equipment arena. President Mohan Das discovered the great need for quality test instruments while working as a biomedical engineer at a major medical center in New York. “After witnessing firsthand the largely unmet need for highly functional, compact, and feature-rich instruments to test and recalibrate the various medical devices in the hospital, I decided to quit my job and try my hand in test equipment design and manufacturing,” Das says. In 1987, Netech was born.

Since then, Netech has maintained a solid reputation for delivering highquality, compact and durable biomedical and industrial test instruments at an affordable price. Some of their most popular products include patient simulators, arrhythmia simulators, defibrillator analyzers, automated external defibrillator testers, pacemaker analyzers, electrical safety analyzers, pressure vacuum meters, flow meters, ultrasound watt meters, multifunctional test and calibration instruments and – relatively new to the product lineup – an infusion pump analyzer.

The compact, portable IPA 2000 Infusion Pump Analyzer uses Netech’s patented flow measurement technology. This innovative technology allows flow measurements to be made quickly and more accurately. The analyzer also has a large graphics LCD with a fully functional keypad. The menu-driven analyzer is easy to operate, and it tests all infusion pumps, including syringe pumps. Then, those test results are automatically saved to the internal flash memory. Stored test data can be uploaded to a PC via a serial port.

The company is fully committed to supporting the products it sells. “Not only do we offer a two-year warranty on all of our products, we also support them for a longer duration compared to our competitors,” Das says. What’s more, all Netech’s products are manufactured in the U.S. However, customers worldwide can purchase Netech’s products either directly from the company or through a network of distributors.

In addition to our standard inventory, the company also has the ability to customize its products to meet individual test requirements for various medical equipment manufacturers and service companies. About 10 years ago, a service company approached Netech about a particular simulator they needed customized to their exact specifications. Netech has been manufacturing it for them ever since. It’s just part of Netech’s fine-tuned approach to detailed customer service.

It’s also important to note that Netech is ISO 9001-2008 registered and SBA 8(a) certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration. In August 2009, the company took it one step further and became #V797P -4228B contracted by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

“We’re also excited to announce that we now offer National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceability,” Das says. In other words, each Netech product is shipped with a signed certificate of calibration traceable to the NIST. Also, many of our devices carry the European CE mark, which signifies that Netech products have been designed and tested with certain environmental safety conditions in mind.

“At Netech, we strive to supply a complete line of biomedical test equipment to meet the growing demands of the medical service industry, as well as medical manufacturers,” Das says. “Our research and development department is in the process of designing new test equipment, as well as upgrading existing products, to be on the cutting edge of the industry. We believe that our future will be determined by our ability to improve quality, adapt to changing environments, and focus on our customer base.”

As an SBA 8(a) certified company, Netech is able to broaden its horizons to reach various government agencies, such as the Armed Forces and the Veterans Administration through employment in the Emergency Committee for American Trade and the GSA. Netech also plans to extend its reach to the industrial field by providing costeffective test and measurement solutions.
