In today’s edition of the MedWrench blog, I would like to feature our "Where is Ben Calibrating?" contest winner, Melissa Nightingale, as the featured “Guru of the Month”.  It is an honor to recognize Melissa as a MedWrench Guru of the Month. Without users like Melissa sharing their knowledge and expertise, the forums wouldn’t be the powerful tool that it is today. Thank you for everything that you do to help our MedWrench users Melissa!

Melissa Nightingale - CBET

How long have you been a member of MedWrench?

I was introduced to MedWrench when I attended the MD Expo in April. I have not explored the website fully as of yet but I love the concept and how it connects professionals within our industry.

What aspect of MedWrench do you utilize the most?

I like that you can ask questions and anyone can share their experience with the issue or better yet get in contact with you and help you out with it. People don’t understand how important connections are.

Are you aware that MedWrench now has a mobile site? If so do you use it from your smart phone or tablet?

I didn’t know there was a mobile site. I can see the pros to this option, especially if you have someone that works with clinics.

Where are you currently employed? What is your position there?

I am a Biomedical Equipment Specialist at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth Texas.

What type of equipment do you work on the most? (imaging, patient monitoring, etc. if applicable)

I have just recently taken over the Respiratory department. I am trained on the Covidien PB 840s and will be trained on the Carefusion 3100s here in about a week.  I am also trained on the Spacelabs Ultraview monitoring System and Telemetry System and worked on those systems for the past 8  years.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. That is always on the top of the list and when I'm not doing that I'm working out with Camp Gladiator (usually with friends).

What is one word that describes you the best?

Mother.
