This does not apply to a specific device.  It is most "Risk 4" devices in the MEMP.  i.e. oto/opthalmoscopes, thermometers, dopples etc...

This is a best practices that has recently been considered acceptable by CMS.

Therefore, GE Healthcare, Aramark and other ISOs may have a written P and P on this.
