On 2.08 SW I don’t think you can check error log without getting a password from Philips (or someone who can generate a password). You can download the logs and send them to someone who can decode them also. On the older SW levels (1.1.1/2.02) you can look at error history log by entering a generic password under service tab. The 2.08 SW they revamped the service menu and essentially lock you out unless you can generate a password. Here are the SW part numbers. Software disks 1 & 2 (PN:453561611211), application disk (PN:453561659551), driver disk (453561727801) and printer disk if needed (PN:453561650031).

Kevin is correct, While the HD11 Is simple to service on Hardware, the Software is mostly locked out, the best solution for the long term is to get a copy of the Software from Philips, Kevin provided those part numbers, and reload the system.

Typically this error can also happen when the Video Card is failing to let the machine start, this can be replaced

Also when the error comes up on the screen have you checked the bank of LEDs on the Power supply ?

we have disassembly videos on our website http://www.mysummitimaging.com try reseating and cleaning the system along with these trouble shooting steps, it my be something simple.

The internal error is often caused by a bad Token Ring cable or a loose connection, usually at the end going to the Signal Processor. The connections at the SPB end are fragile.
