Hello everyone, I have a LifePak 9 in my hospital that when I do my testing on it, it's off by anywhere from 10-70 joules when I go above 200 joules. Does anyone know of a re-calibration company that still supports these?
Re-Calibration Company
If your a BMET manuals is on this website and you can do it yourself. I does not take long and you dont have to open the unit. Just follow the instructions closely.

I'm the BMET, and I tried that already, the XXX J delivered = the XXX J setting. But when I try it out on my analyzer it's readings are way off on 300 and 360 J. I was told it could be a memory chip issue?

Yes you may, there is a IC RAM that has a battery in it, find the Physio part number in the service manual. It should be in the trouble shooting section. The last time I had to get one it cost $100 from Alpha Source.

So Digital IC (Part# 3202790-000) is for sure what you think I need in order for the defibrillator to put out the correct joules? It only happens at 300 and 360, wouldn't all the other settings be off as well?

How's the waveform look at the higher powers? Maybe a high impedance on the contacts of the dump relay or perhaps the charge capacitor breaking down.
Just a thought.

If it is not calibrating at 360Ws only and all the other calibration points are good there is something else. How long does it take to charge to 360? do you hear faint crackling or popping when it gets above 300? You need to verify that it is getting up to 360 if no noise. If you have a noise you may have a issue with your charged storage cap.

All the other points are good an the charge time is good, around 7 seconds when charging to 360. Just when it puts out 360 (or supposed to) it puts out anywhere from 300-400 everytime.

Be sure to check your dump relay as the others mentioned. You may have some leaking caps. Be careful checking them. If you have another unit, you can try to swap them to test.
