need your help with the g.e logiq 400 ultrasonograph

hello everybody, I have à probleme with an ultrasonograph g.e logiq 400 wich is not booting and stops at the second bar of the start up test with the followed message  "cpu memory test: success                        2136319-4"

I replaced the time keeper battery because the original one was completely dead but this made no change at all.

the service manual says that the id number has to be entered after doing that but I don't have access to the utility menu described on it.

I'm working on a hospital, not with a company and want to repare the machine for the goods of our poor population here in morocco.

I realy need your help

thank you :)

I have the exact same problem, except I didn't change the battery yet. I'm assuming the hard drive is broken. I have removed it. It is stamped with Version 3.40 on it.

Question 1) Does it sound like HD needs replacing?

                  2) If so, I can buy one with Ver 5.01 installed on it. Would that be compatible or do I have to use 3.40? Can I just put this new HD in and expect it to boot up ok?

                  3) If I need 3.40 is there a way to find software and install on  new HD?

Thanks for any help.

Souf, you should find the information under the Logiq 400 product tab on the Medwrench site. All the best, Ron.

MNMarty, you probably just have a problem with the timekeeper ram. Replace it, reset the ID and it should work fine. You should find the info on the medwrench site under Logiq 400. At the bottom of the product info screen you should see a link.

All the best, Ron.

I just want to be sure I'm replacing the right thing. I pulled off the battery M4T28-BR12SH1. The RAM it's plugged into on the CPU is not removable. So I can only replace the battery, correct? I saw a post about someone removing their RAM and sodering a new one in.

Thanks.

MNMarty, The 4T28 should be the battery RAM. There are two styles that I am aware of. One is an NVRAM chip and the other is a battey module that plugs into the board. You will need to replace whichever style you have. Then follow the instructions with a laptop connected. The instructions should be on the medwrench site. You can also find most of the info in the regular service manual.

All the best, Ron.
