New to GE Vivid 7

I am new to using the GE system, having used Philips (or HP) for many years. The previous sonographer left before I came and I have no one to bounce questions off. How do you change the color flow box direction in the Vascular application and stay within the 60 degree window? Also, how do you access the Strain imaging function in Cardiac Imaging?

Hi Diane,

To access Strain Rate on your Vivid 7, you need to be in TVI mode, then press ALT on the control panel and press Strain Rate.

Not being an echo tech and without a Vivid 7 in front of me, I am not sure of the answer to your question about staying at the proper angle. I do not believe the Angle key for angle correction does anything in Color Flow, only PW and CW.

There were many software versions, or "BT" versions, for the Vivid 7 and the features available and how they worked vary. Pressing F1 on the top row of your keyboard will bring up the User Manual specific to your system. The user manuals can also be downloaded from GE's support website: http://www3.gehealthcare.com/en/support/support_documentation_library
