005 Error Code IE33

3.0.2.711 SW, E cart.

IE33 is giving intermittent 005 error code. In checking Tech Admin, it is happening with different transducers.

The error log generally stacks like this in Tech Admin

Error:  Fault Power monitor

Error: Received Power Monitor ADUE

EHA005 Fault Dialog 005.8639.4XPJ.16 displayed

Error Recovery: User reselected scanhead

Error Fault:  Power Monitor

Is this an FEC issue? Help?

Marc,

Your error codes indicated that the system HV xmit power was shuting down. This symptom can be a few things:

1. Probe. Is there a certain probe that causes the error to occur?

2. Power supply or cables to AFP

3. One of your frontend components may be faulty. We've seen mostly NAIM or CB. If these items don't fix it, other FE components are to be considered.

If you need realtime help on troublshooting, send us an email or call. We support replacement parts and Guru Kits for complex TS.

Good luck

I've Found when the 005.bwru is intermitant its typically a connection problem either lose ribbons to the FEC and DSC in the back end, or Burnt Molex connectors on the AFP, I would suggest visualy inspecting it if you can.

In the info log it should be tracking what probe was being used during the time it failed, it would also but useful to see if it was the same probe each time.

feel free to contact us if you have any questions

The issue is not happening with a particular probe. I have seen the error stack in Tech Admin and different probes have caused the issue.

Did not see burnt molex pins on the AFP. They looked good.

Will take a look at the ribbon cable connections on the FEC and dsc side.

I really appreciate everyone's feedback!

Do you have a detail of your error code, likes 005.xxxxx.xx. Let me know so we can narrow down your problem source. 005 is usually caused by NAIM, PS or CB.

Based on your error codes, I am confident that the problem can cause by NAIM or one of the Channel Bd's. I would try the NAIM bd first then CB next. We have Guru Kit for troubleshooting your problem.

Marc, do you have the ability to check the logs and post them or email them directly ? there might be something before the code is thrown that would shine some light on this.
