Unit will not boot up. Gives software error pop up box and says to call service. I can get it to boot up and operate from software disc. I'm thinking a software reload would do it. Anybody know how or have instructions on how to perform a software load? Service Manual would be awesome too. Thanks

not sure if your problem is still pending, but here's a tip:
- turn on the system and when you see the startup screen with the Blue Waves saying..."Now setting up system data..", hit the CTRL-ALT-E buttons at the same time
- you will see Windows Explorer
- navigate to: C:\ EUB-us and look for ResetTool.exe and execute the file
- you will see a pop up window asking you if you are sure to reset, confirm with YES
- the system will automatically restart, but with default configuration.
If you have a backup disk, restore it. If not, the system will probably restart again with factory setting. At least it will work again.

Greetings, James Bamenda Cameroon. Pls how do i resolve this pop up massage (Software error push shutdown button and call service person ok) which continues to pop and my machine won't boot to desktop, the machine is Hitachi Eub-5500. Thanks
