IE33 Continuous Wave and Pulse Wave

My IE33 is having intermitten problem with CW and PW not working properly.  We replaced the NAIM board and still its very intermitten.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  Is there a fix other than possible software reload.

Can you provide more details of your cw and pw problem? What is not working properly? What kind of cart and sw. This is a hardware failure. Reload sw won't fix your problem.

Its software version 6.0.2.144 and we think it may be a problem with only one probe.   If thats the case yeah its hardware.  The X5-1probe seems to be having the most issues.  They have to turn the gain up really high so maybe its just this probe, but we also had problems before the board replacement with the Pedoff and pediatric probe.  I guess it could be the probe maybe only this one?  But which board controls CW and PW also color?

I am still not sure of your exact issues. Anyway, color, pw and cw by the front end boards. Most of the Doppler problems have been found on NAIM and channel boards. First, you need to make sure all of your probes are working. Is your replacement NAIM from a reliable source? NAIM board has been known with intermittent Doppler gain/noise issues.

I figure by now you have probably solved this, but it sounds like you had a bad NAIM board and a bad X5-1. If the NAIM resolved the issue for other probes and the X5-1 remained a problem, it suffices that you had two issues. This is not all that uncommon on the IE33.

If you want to discuss the theory further feel free to call, just to much for writing.
