We have 2 OEC/GE 9800 c-arms. Both have same symptom. Cine runs very slow sending to pacs. Single images ok. Have formatted drive on both systems no change. Suggestions Please.
Cine slow sending to pacs
Have you checked your network connection or port you are plugged into? What is the speed of the switch?
100/ 1Gig? maybe get the ITS folks involved to do some testing on the line and switch gear all the way to your PACS server? Just some thoughts

Hello,
Yes we started with the network. Have tried 5 or 6 different ports in different rooms, in different parts of the hospital.
The jacks are set to 100 full and both systems are set to 100 full.
Single images go over great. Just problems with cine.
Any suggestions on how to replace the cine drive? Any hints or such?
Thanks.

Hi,
How long does it take to transfer a run? How many images are in the run? If the run is 10 seconds long and your on 8fps, thats like transferring 80 images. Just thinking out loud.

Hello,
It doesn't matter where it is a short run or a long run.
It starts the transfer and then hangs up.
After 5 or 6 minutes get an error message to check the dicom settings.
Happens on 2 machines we are stumped

Hi Robot,
I know this was 6 years ago, but was curious if you have service notes for this C-arm problem, or if you found a solution. We are battling this exact problem now, (different C-arms too.., Same location) and after working with our Network Manager, they do intermittently see errors on the network switch port. He clears them, and it sends cine images for a few minutes, then chokes. Both WS & Network switch are set to Auto-Neg.

Change the destination server image size configuration to (.5kx.5k) to reduce transfer size.
changed both "Station Name and OEC AE Title" along with system IP address to match the other system
not send a cine run due to slow network speeds or not being set up properly in the pacs server
try sending images to pacs using XA instead of RF to see if it gets resolved
indicating that the issue is in the site network or the destination PACS server.
checked the network settings for the c-arm itself I noticed it was set to half duplex and I changed it to full duplex
Good luck
