sequoia 512 refuses to send to PACS

Our machine periodically refuses to send exams to PACS.  The DVD burner only worked ONCE since we bought the unit so we have no back-up to print/save the images.  The images are easily viewed on the machine but refuse to be transferred.  This was intermittant but today it simply refuses to send anything even resending older exams.  I do not store images on the machine more than 2 days so it isn't a matter of not enough space etc.  Our service provider has come out several times regarding this....but again this is ongoing and we are about to toss the darn thing.   We have 2 units and the older one has never done this!

I was told this is unusual BUT I see numerous threads here stating otherwise. Another annoying thing...silly DVD burner...really overpriced to replace but of course we are paying for not having a functional one today.

Why would this machine intermittantly refuse to send to PACS?  Our IT guy says server is fine but did see an error that images didn't transfer which seems reasonable.  Really tired of tossing more money at this machine.  I think we got a lemon......Only had it one and half years and this is the 4th time we had to reschedule patients.  Not good.  Not getting resolution of this problem is frustrating.

We have 10 Sequoia's and they all do this intermittently.  Its normally an

easy fix.  Get into the network setup and change the "active network" to

one of the other available networks.  It will force you to restart then log

in again and change back to the orginal network and restart again and

it should work.

Hello,

You may want to perform a Data Reset for the network. Go into the Service User Interface and perform a Data Reset - Network Data Reset. Ensure you already have a good system backup that was made prior to these issues or you will have to manually reprogram your network.

As Matt says you may have a corrupted network configuration that needs to be reset. I have found in some cases it is necessary to do the Network Data Reset then power cycle and go back into Service UI and rebuild the entire network from your notes.

Start by selecting Change Network then go to the box above Add and type in your network name. Click on Add then click on Activate Network. You will see your new network name highlighted in the list of Network Config Names.

Input Hostname, Router and Dicom Server from the procedure (I have a very detailed procedure if you need one, just email me or call me out for service if you are in the Southern California Region)

As you go thru the procedure any time you see "Reboot' do a power cycle instead. Sequoia is a very quirky animal when it comes to networking.

After you have your network installed go to Setup then Service UI and select Aegis then Define Servers. If you are installing a Dicom Storage Server you will see Dicom Storage Server 1 with a box next to it that says "none". Click on that and you will be able to select you server from the dropdown list.

A few tips: Never edit the Sequoia 127.0.0.1 loopback address, Never edit the Service network, Never select "edit in all networks" or "delete from all networks".

If you have any questions or want the procedure send me an email to: Jeff.majors62@gmail.com
