How often do you run the PVP on a Gem 4000? Our ABG lab is being acrediated through JACHO and they require a 3rd analayte .

Hello, Anne,
Our hospital runs the PVP every six months to establish linearity on the analyzers. I submit the results to IL and they will email you the corresponding graphs. I keep them in a binder for CAP and JCAHO inspectors. You'd want to adhere to any P&P your department/hospital has in regard to this, of course. We also run clinical lab correlations every six months for Hb. I'm not sure what analytes you normally run.
