When I turn the unit on with the power cord plugged in or on battery, it will shut off after a few mins. It will restart again if I wait. Then it will shut off sooner. The 2 middle lights on the upper center will flash. I am wondering if the battery is bad and the unit needs a good battery to run with the AC plugged in.

It should work with a bad battery as long as it is plugged in. Make sure you have voltage out of the DC power supply that is connected to the LOGIQ Book unit.

There is voltage. If I remove the battery the system will not start when plugged in. The system also will not start if the battery has not been charging. If I leave the unit plugged in and allow the battery to charge, it will start up but shut off again. The longer the battery has charged, the farther into the start the unit will go. Could the battery be so dead,(it was never replaced and the unit is from 2006), that it is causing the unit to shut off?
