During QA testing for max settings, one of the two machine at my workplace (hologic Insight 2 mini-C), goes down to 49-50 kVp at 0.056 mAs rather than reaching for max kVP (75) & mAs (0.1 mAs) when used under "continues" mode with "lead sheets" placed on Intensifier.
However, same is NOT true when object is radiolucent. Techniques does go high based on thickness of the material.
Also, the other mini-C (exact same model) does show high or reach for high techniques when lead is placed on Intensifier!
Any ideas why it's doing this? Theoretically, it should try reaching max settings regardless of "type" of material/object used? Right?
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated!
