I am a Ugandan Sonographer who operates an Ultrasound machine Acuson x300. However one morning when I switched on this ultrasound machine, I got an error ''The system is shutting down automatically to prevent permanent damage . Please contact siemens service''. An engineer did a troubleshooting and found that the problem is in the dc/dc converter. Furthermore what could have caused this is when a high voltage probe was changed. However, I am the only user of this equipment and I never changed any probes. My question is, what are the possible causes of this problem.
