Error code 201 and 301

I can find no reference for 201 and 301 in the error code info on this model of handheld oximeter.  I suspect it is for the permanent battery mounted on the oxmeter board...what I'd call the CMOS battery which maintains core data.

I have three different N-65 oximeters which I have patched together from five different units, two of which had display board/port problems.  When these initally boot up they report error codes of either 201 or 301 and then proceed to the date/time displays.  After these are complete the display reboots, stalls, displays the error code again and then begins measuring pulse and SPO2 normally.  If the instruments are powered down they do not reboot with the entered date/time and the whole 45 second process of resetting must be gone through again.  Everything else about these Oximeters appears normal.

I found reference to these error codes in a N-20 oximeter manual: 201-203 is RAM memory (PCB may require replacement) 301 is PROM (on PCB) which may require PROM replacement This information is consistent with what I think is going on.

Any other suggestions?
