blowing fuses while using in van

my dad recently purchased a used simply go macine from his care provider, he is now having problems with fuses blowing constantly in his van. what is going on?

It could be several things, but the specs for the Simply Go say that it draws 8 amps when the engine is running. If the engine is not running, then it may draw 10 or more amps. (Higher voltage, lower amps, for the same amount of watts.)

Maybe he's already got something else on the same circuit. A lot of accessory receptacles only have 10 amp fuses on them. Or maybe the battery in the Simply Go is nearing the end and it wants to draw more than 8 amps when charging. Someone needs to measure how much power the Simply Go is drawing, at what voltages. Usually a power supply from an amateur radio operator can be used to test the Simply Go and measure the charging voltage and amperage. Or maybe the van has the wrong size fuses in it.
