If you are in need of immediate assistance please feel free to reach out directly to our Sterilizers/Autoclaves sponsor RPI. They are happy to help.

Just be sure to tell them you were referred by MedWrench.

Steam supply low? Depending on where you are, man, it's cold out there today..

Ddo you have one of those "soaking" thermometers such as one from RPI? They are mercury thermometers that retain the highest temperature until they cool off and you sling them back down. They operate from 150F to 350F and RPI sells them for around $40. That will positively show you what your chamber temperature got up to. And generally the 270f is around 30 PSI, so if you are getting lower than 270 then you could have the supply issue, or maybe your safety valve is starting to release, prematurely, bleeding off a tiny bit of your pressure...

It's been a number of years since I worked on those but I recall most issues were related to the exhaust manifold. Steris sells an exhaust manifold kit that will rebuild everything except the solenoid seats. If the seats are pooched, they sell a kit for that as well.
