Beeps and goes to blank screen when trying to access installation menu

Hello,

I have a Datascope Spectrum OR that defaulted back to German and would not hold the date/time. I tried to change it back to English by holding the freeze button while booting but it just repeatedly beeped at me and gave me a blank screen.

I changed the clock chip and it fixed the problem with it not holding time/date but it still repeatedly beeps when I try to access the installation menu to change the language. Does anybody know what could be causing this, or know how to change the language without this menu?

Sounds like the Main System PCB.

if you go into service mode and the display test fails instantly, then definitely Main PCB.

It's around 2500 for a new one.

Your Timekeeper/CPU monitoring chip may be bad. When you replace it on the Spectrum ORs it will reboot in Dutch and not allow you to change it. The cheap fix is to replace the chip and then send it to Mindray, and have them reload the software for around $700.00.
