"Check IV Set"

I have an Alaris 8100 that continues to give the error "check IV set". I've replaced the AIL sensor and logic board, and it's still giving the error. Any suggestions?

I've seen either one of the sensors cause this alarm.

I agree

run the analog check and see if you can determine which sensor (fluid or patient side) is defective

anything over 2 volts for an unloaded sensor change it. Also it should change to 5volts or less as its pumping. If it stays at 5 volts or more-change it

My guess would be the door latch sensor or other sensor leading to error. Good luck!

If you check your error log you will probably see one of the pressure sensors having an issue on and off in the past couple months. More than likely it is your patient side pressure sensor.

if you connect to maintenance s/w you will se a selection in 8100 pump task list called "analog sensors"  if you select this, you will see voltages for the bottle side and the Pt. side pressure sensors.  it should be about 1.0 volt (probably slightly less, 0.9v) without the tube set installed and about 2-3v with tube set installed.  way low (<0.5v) or way high (3.5-4.9v), indicates problem with that sensor.  replacing sensor should correct problem.  be aware a new sensor is about $105.00 from alaris.  hope this helps
