Biomedical engineer

Hello,

I am from Suriname and a biomedical engineer. The hosptial where  I work has a HDI3000 system and it has been giving us some trouble. It was given by charity.

We were able to repair several problems with the system but now we have another problem which we are not able to solve. In short:  The system boots up to white screen and does not go any further.

We have done the following repairs to the system in the last 4months:

- Januari 2012:
Problem = The system would not boot up and smoke appeared form the  rear of the machine. No monitor output.
Repair = We Replaced a burned varistor on the PS4 ACIM power supply.
Result = The machine worked fine after this repair.

- April 2012:
Problem= System did not boot up. Only cooling fans and the monitor gave no output (black). LED which indicates problem with digital power supply PS2 was blinking rapdily.
Repair = Replaced a defective JFET on the digital power supply PS2.
Result = The system now boots up and LED is not showing errors with the power supply. You can now hear the system starting up and the monitor switching on giving the color bars and than shows a white screen. The system does not do anything else but stays on this white screen. We can also hear a "buzzing" sound from the rear of the machine which was not the case prior to repairing the PS2 digital power supply.

We removed harddrive and inserted back-up optical disk and system then does boot up, but with multiple errors. One of which stated:

"FEC MOP reported hw error during bootup

(1902-1991-2404-5B30781)
FEC hardware test failure
please I need the user and s"

And also with the back-up disk inserted the probes could not be initialized.

I realize that this might be a lot of tekst but i truely hope someone can help us out with this problem.

Best Regards,
Gordon

Since you were able to boot off of the full system backup; you have a bad hard drive.  The errors you encountered booting off of the mo disk are configuration issues.  Replace the hard drive and reload software.

If you have any trouble call CQI Tech Support @ 866-900-9404

Thank you for your quick response!

We are currently looking for a hard disk which matches the specifications, but these are hard to come by in Suriname.

Also reloading the software which needs to be reloaded on the new hard disk (yet to be purchased) might be a problem. I do not know yet if it is possible to get this of the old defective hard disk.

Do you know if there is a possibility of purchasing a new preloaded hard drive which meets the specs of thehdi 3000 machine?

Again thank you for your response.

Regards,

Gordon

Hey David,

I gave your company a call and spoke to one of your technicians.
I hope you got the message, but we tested the harddrive and we can acces it with a normal computer.

There are multiple documents totalling 200mb of data in a partition of 2GB disk space.

I expect one of the documents to be corrupt preventing the system to boot up. I also saw a bootup file.

Do you also think this is the case? If so, can I reload the software from the MO disk or do I need new software? Does your company have this software?

Regards,

Gordon

Dear all,

I was able to reload the software to another hard drive by cloning it and than formatting it accordingly.

The system now starts up fine, but I am now faced with another error during and after boot up I get the following error code:

System Diagnostics Alert

FEC MOP reported HW error during Bootup
(1902-1990-1305)

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Thank you.

Gordon
