screen won't change

I was hooked up to the monitor about an hour ago. I was told my the nurse to make sure the screen showed the squiggly lines and the little beating in the right corner. After only driving in my car the screen went to the time and date. I called the office and they said they assumed it was still recording and to just leave it. I was asked to push a few buttons but the screen never changed.

I've tested the Vision 5L holters a few times in the Biomed shop, and you will only see the heartbeats while it is being hooked up. Then the nurse makes it start recording, and I believe it shows only the time of day in large numbers and how long it has to go- in small numbers. I don't think you can go back to the "heartbeat" picture. I believe you are supposed to press the biggest button when you feel a heart arrythmea, and jot it down on paper, because the doctor will compare your notes to when you recorded the "marker" (when you pushed the button) and he will look to see what your heartbeat was doing at that time.
