do always the USERS VERIFICATION TEST check the SiPAP manual it is stated how you will do your UVT inorder to prevent untoward alarm.

02 leak means that its either the attachments of the circuits is not fitted well.check the circuits starting from the humidifier to the patients end port

in doing a leak test this is done after you have finished your calibration test then   just select the exit and it show ncpap/FiO2%/Press High/Transducer Assembly/.

This part now is doing a leak test.Note: Temporarily Occlude the prongs/mask to prevent leak) what you will do is make sure that the ncpap (press low) is set to 8cmH20 , set Fi02 as prescribed by the doctor, set the Press High to 2-4 cmH20 (i always set to 3cmH20 as initial) ,Pressure Transducer on the screen is showing color green CHECK if the Presssure Assembly is attached to the machine and if no Pressure Transducer is attached on it will not show you green CHECK but it will show Red X on the screen, which means that the Apnea monitoring is not activated. after you done this part the machine will automatically change the screen to NCPAP make sure it is still occluded.Press the NCPAP name and immediately it will show all the modes available to use (NCPAP/NCPAP LBR or Apnea/Biphasic/Biphasic LBR or Apnea/ Biphasic Trigger .Select only the NCPAP then confirm it by pressing the blinking NCPAP word. The machine will then show NCPAP , on this make sure that on the monitor parameter will show 4-5cmH20 , this is based on your press low settings which is 8cmH20.if in the monitored parameter is showing less than 4-5cmH20 it means that LEAK IS PRESENT which will not give you the exact pressure you wanted to your PIP (Pressurre High (PRESSURE ASSIST) or           PEEP( Pressure Low (CPAP)
