Hard drives going bad

I had a problem with database inconsistency error about 2 months ago. I ran the DL database check and repair tool to fix the problem. Does this mean that the hard drives are going bad? Should i clone these hard drives? Any tips on these rooms would be great. thank you!

I would think that database just became corrupted.(Maybe improper shut down) Of course it wouldn't hurt to have a backup cloned hard drives. How does the current hard drive sound? Is it noisy?

the hard drives don't sound bad no clicking sounds or anything. but i have had the same error "data base inconsitency" every three weeks. I know that its probably either duplicate information being put in or improper shut down, but im only having this issue with 1 room consistently. thank you for your help.

I am ignorant to on the GE - Innova 2100 IQ, but have some basic questions. What is the OS for the system? Is there a hard disk utility present to check the integrity of the drive? If the problem is with a corrupted file or program on the disk cloning could transfer the problem to a new HD.

the system runs on x.p but g.e runs a shell o.s on top of that system. If i reinstall a new HD it usually takes about four hours. If I just cloned the hard drive it would just be plug and play and no headaches. I did think of a corrupted file or program on the disk cloning could transfer the problem to a new HD, but the hard drives are just getting old. thanks for the input!

Check that old files are deleted every week or so...this should be done be done by the techs/nurses but if you want to score some points arrange a time that it can be done by you on a weekly basis. Usually it's a first in last out delete system but for some reason this may not be happening. The main reason I would do this is....if you have a corrupt file think your error would happen more often...maybe not...but probably. The second reason is it's alot easier and less expensive than part replacement. Just a thought...Good Luck!!
