table pivoting

I have been trying to figure out what might be the problem with a 3080SP OR table. When it is level and you pick up on the foot end, there is lots of play up and down (pivoting) where the table sits atop the lift cylinder. I have dropped the shrouds and raised the table up and looked underneath, but I can't see anything allowing to have a lot rocking motion. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

2. Have you checked the limit switches? 3. The two cylinders on the "tee" end of the base are easy to see and verify if they are moving or not....(the front is more difficult to access)the foot locks use an "overcenter" mechanism to lock and keep the feet from retracting(no check valve in the lock system) and the cylinders have to pull the mechanism back to get the "link" to retract the foot itself...In the old manual tables I have seen the "pin" (shaft of the actual foot lock) get all gummed up with whatever was used to clean and/or drips on that area, and not want to move up and down freely.....havent seen that on the elec/hydraulic beds much though... The "microswitches" on those two locks at the "tee" end are just there to tell the hand control that the table is locked, it will keep trying to move either lock/unlock whichever function is pressed..... Also check to see if the screw on "foot"(black end of the lock with rubber pad)is screwed out too far...i have seen where housekeepers mop and then these pads are spun out(down) and even if the "pin" retracts it is still touching the floor....steris does not use a very god system to keep those "foot ends" tight and they will move freely after a while.... 4. There are rollers on the column corners and you will probably have to adjust them.... 5. When u remove the shroud move the wires and stuff out of the way up right under the bed of the table there is an hex screw that has snapped on ours before or it could just be loose. You have to dig for it.
