Our pump failed after 9 months and the part was backordered. I wondered if this is a common problem and if other problems are common as we are budgeting for a second machine.

Pump malfunction
Thu Dec 06 2012Reply from Sevice manual
Hi.
I had ever worked for J nJ as service engineer. I think your problem is not a common problem. It is difficult to make pump failed. You should check power supply and make PM in priod, i think it will be ok.
thanks

Our 100s had run for four years with no issues, and then the injection pump had to be replaced. Several months later, the injection pump again failed. This leads one to believe, coupled with your experience, that there may be a problem with the injection pumps manufactured as of late. Don't know for sure, but may be a clue.
Not at ALL happy with ASP for their service. If there is an alternative, I would not recommend a new ASP purchase.
