RESOLUTION

Hello, I was wondering if you could please tell me the resolution and the accuracy of a Fluke QA-ES II, since the manual doesnt have good information about that.

We invite you to view the QA-ES II web page, data sheet, and Operator's Manual for answers to your questions about accuracy.

Current:20 mA to 2200 mA ± 5 % of reading for loads from 100 to 2000 Ω

Voltage: 0 kV to 10 kV (closed load only) accuracy: ± 10 %

repost from JZion....

Voltage: 0 kV to 10 kV (closed load only) accuracy: ± 10 %

Resolution is appropriate for the intended use for which QA-ES has been designed.

ESU Output Energy, Power Distribution, and HF Leakage tests are specified by the ESU Manufacturers (in the inspection and test procedures from their Service Manuals) in whole units without decimals.

QA-ES II therefore displays these in whole units without decimals. The test instrument need be only 4% more accurate than the device under test and resolution in whole units rather than decimals is appropriate for the intended use.

We know some people believe that one needs 2 to 3 decimal place better resolution of measurements to ensure the device under test is really within the accuracy tolerances, but that is not always necessary.
