Bad X-ray temperature sensor detected scrolls across doghouse when first booted up.

Been working on this for about 8 months. Unit works, but upon boot up this flashes across the doghouse. I have replaced the sensor and Ohmed out the wire all the way back to where it goes into c-arm. Everything checks out.. At this point, I don't know what to do next. Any suggestions?

If you have another unit, check the voltage at pin 85 going into the gen interface board. If you dont have an extender try measuring at the temp sensor. compare with the problem board. If the voltages are fairly close, then the gen interface board may be mis-converting the value and giving the error. If there are any other odd analog errors at startup, could be the reference voltage for the converter has an issue. Or the analog MUX. either way, if you have changed the sensor, rung out the wiring path and these are good, replacing the gen interface board would be my next move. See if you can get a good restocking agreement from whoever provides the board in case it is a wrong guess. but compare the voltage across the temp sensor against another known good machine at about the same housing temp (like placed in a hall side by side overnight) first.

How does the cable look going into the c-arm to the tube and II. Has it been pulled out and put back in. You might have a broken wire at the point where it goes in. Measure the resistance from each end of the cable. Measure the sensor at the tube. GE- OEC tech support will give you that info. The temp sensor coonector is at the tube end of the mounting.

Does no one read the previous info before responding?

Anyway, I agree with ffriedman as a good start since you have already performed the first steps of replacing the sensor and ringing out the cable. I assume you "worked" the cable while ringing it out. If it isn't the gen interface board then you may have bad data in the LUT or the like. A software reload should help this type of condition. Make sure you perform a system backup before reloading software. Good luck!
