Milwaukee, Wisc.—Medical equipment replacement parts provider and battery-pack manufacturer, Alpha Source, Inc. has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70 Contract for the purchase of new equipment. Alpha Source’s partnership with Motorola led to the Schedule 70 contract, which offers federal, state, and local governments solutions for their IT needs. The five-year GSA Schedule 70 Contract, contract number GS-35F-0458Y, is good until June 2017. Alpha Source is now on GSA Schedule 70 and Schedule 56.
This is the first year Alpha Source is on Schedule 70. The award was in part due to Alpha Source’s strategic partnership with Motorola. The addition of Schedule 70 allows Alpha Source, a WBNEC certified company, to expand its product offerings for Motorola accessories to include interface cables, headsets, microphones, radio holsters, and antennas.
According to Norine Carlson-Weber, president of Alpha Source, “The government sector remains a growing part of our business, and Motorola has played a large role in our success within that market. We look forward to the opportunities that come with expanding our partnership with Motorola and from being on Schedule 70.”
“Our partnership with Alpha Source continues to grow more each year. Expanding our offerings through Alpha Source on Schedule 70 is a natural step for both companies,” said a Motorola Solutions Representative.
Over 5,000 certified industry partners provide buyers direct access to information technology products and services through Schedule 70.
The GSA Schedule Contract is the most widely used government contract vehicle. GSA Contracts simplify the procurement process for many federal customers.
