Encompass Group, LLC Announces PulSTAR Logix, the newest DVT Prevention System by Albahealth

Encompass Group, LLC and its Albahealth product division announce their newest PulSTAR Logix DVT Prevention System.

The PulSTAR Logix System is an intermittent pneumatic compression system that mechanically promotes proper blood flow for immobile patients to help reduce the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism [DVT/PE]. The pump is highly compact and extremely quiet. Therapy can be delivered through calf and/or foot compression sleeves in a variety of sizes designed to fit the majority of the patient population.

A variety of unique features make the system easy to use for clinicians and comfortable for the patient. The PulSTAR Logix pump features Auto-Sensing Technology, which detects the mode of therapy once the wraps are connected. This allows the clinician to confirm therapy detection rather than selecting a mode of therapy. The kink-resistant tubing is color coded for safety and ease of use. A proprietary pause feature allows the clinician to pause therapy for skin checks or ambulation, and then resumes therapy in the current cycle.

A complete line of calf and foot sleeves are available and offer first-class features that help ensure patients comply with therapy. All sleeves feature breathable, soft, highly comfortable, strong and durable material while the premium sleeves feature additional features such as an anti-microbial finish, and moisture-wicking fabric.

The PulSTAR Logix system is available exclusively within the Albahealth StarSystem comprehensive suite of products for the prevention of DVT. Also available in the StarSystem portfolio is the UltraCARE anti-embolism stocking featuring the patented Rightway System.

The Rightway System combines superior fit and ease of use to address patient compliance and the application needs of clinicians. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), from 300,000 to 600,000 people are affected by DVT/PE each year, and 60,000 to 100,000 die.
