Power Supply Records

In today's blog we are going to highlight a biomedical/clinical engineer tip from Trisonics! This is a general preventative maintenance tip that can be applied to all ultrasound systems. As always though, it is important to research your specific system because it is possible that the OEM has specific directions for maintenance. See below for tips!

Power Supply Records Tip:

A recommended process while performing a preventative maintenance is to record the DC voltage levels of the power supplies.  Record and date the values somewhere inside the unit being PM’ed. This helps because you now have a record of the voltage of when the unit is performing normally. So in the future if you do question the power supply levels, you have these recorded normal readings to compare against. Then you can decide whether the power supply is operating as it should or has drifted.
