I can’t even begin to imagine how nerve-racking it would be for a new Biomedical Engineer in the field. Undoubtedly, there would seem to be an endless amount of information to learn, and I would imagine that it would be very stressful to say the least. Luckily for everyone (not just biomedical engineers), we live in a time where you can find endless amounts of information online. Between the internet (sites like MedWrench) and networking through social media outlets such as LinkedIn and Facebook, it is possible to find the information you are seeking without ever leaving the office.

In today’s blog we are going to highlight some basic tips from Trisonics for new biomedical engineers. According to the biomedical engineers at Trisonics, “there are many tips and tricks that are helpful to know when you are just starting out.”  The following are two simple tips that may make ultrasound repair easier for beginner biomedical engineers.

Tip #1

When changing a part on a machine, put the date on the part that you are installing. This saves time searching through paperwork to see when it was charged or it the part is still under warranty.

Tip #2

When changing any part that may take some time, take pictures of the disassembly process so that you have something to look back on when you are reassembling the machine.
