Brake Adjustment on GE Logiq 9 & Vivid 7 Systems

A common problem with the GE Logiq 9 and Vivid 7 systems are brake malfunctions.  This makes the system difficult to transport and results in a corrective action for some accreditations.  In most cases the brakes can be fixed by a simple adjustment.  First, remove the front bumper by removing the four screws underneath.  The manual states they are torque screws, but more often we find Phillips head.  After removing the screws, lift the bumper off.  The adjustment holes are directly above the front casters.  Insert an Allen wrench into the adjustment hole and tighten until there is more braking action.  Do not over tighten or the brakes will not remain engaged.  Check for correct operation prior to replacing the front bumper.
