Medical Dealer | News | Trisonics president cross-country tripLatimer and his cycling partner, Rod Keeney, departed Yorktown, Va., on April 27 en route to Astoria, Ore. Latimer and Keeney hope to traverse the 4,232-mile Adventure Cycling Association trail in a couple of months with a short break in Colorado where they will spend time with their wives.

On Tuesday, they stopped in Kentucky for a short rest period.

“Well we finally did it,” Latimer posted on a website serving as a journal for the trip. “We took a day off from pedaling. It was great to refresh the body, and spirit. We kind of invited ourselves to stay another day with our Warmshowers Hosts, Garry and Beth Feltus. They have a wonderful home located on 60 acres in the Kentucky countryside. Rod and I stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin on the property. It was wonderful to sleep on a mattress!”

The duo is planning to cycle about 70 miles a day and are traveling self-supported. Campgrounds will serve as home during their journey along with some host stops and other appropriate sleeping arrangements.
