In today’s edition of the MedWrench blog I want to recap our amazing trip to Portland for the 2014 OBA conference! Russ Magoon, President of the Oregon Biomedical Association, put on a great show for both vendors and attendees. Despite being short and sweet, OBA 2014 was a great opportunity to make new connections for both users and vendors.

Not only was I able to speak with numerous potential MedWrench users, but I also enjoyed seeing some of our favorite vendors and even meeting a few new ones. The OBA show is continuing to grow and bring in both new attendees as well as vendors. Russ Magoon’s leadership continues to pay off as is evident by the continued growth of the Oregon Biomedical Association.

For those that are not familiar with the Oregon Biomedical Association, OBA is the premier professional organization for biomedical equipment repair professionals in the state of Oregon. The organization serves professionals working under the umbrella of Healthcare Technology Management. Whether the department is Medical Maintenance, Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Clinical Technology Services, technicians and engineers who join the Oregon Biomedical Association are afforded opportunities to network, attend continuing education events, and to participate in the annual symposium each fall (free of charge).

Also, keep in mind MedWrench will be attending the Northeastern Healthcare Technology Symposium 2014 sponsored by NESCE. The show will take place in Mystic, CT on November 4-6, 2014. Be sure to drop by booth #51 to visit MedWrench and TechNation!
