Medical equipment manufacturer, Quantum Medical Imaging today released the company’s re-designed “ODYSSEY” & “QUEST” Ultra High Frequency X-Ray generators.

The “ODYSSEY” & “QUEST” Ultra High frequency generators with push button console are designed for both digital and conventional radiographic imaging, operating at a near-constant potential of up to 120 kHz, for highly efficient x-ray production. The ODYSSEY HF Series of generators provide output power level options from 80 kW to 32 kW and up to 150 kVp, while the QUEST HF Series of generators provide output power level options from 50 kW to 20 kW and up to 150 kVp, meeting the needs of any imaging environment.  In addition, a Stored Energy (SE) option is available for facilities with limited incoming power, or for mobile vehicle applications.

These newly redesigned generators feature a sophisticated operator control panel utilizing a high resolution LED-backlit LCD display.  This menu-driven display (“ODYSSEY” includes a graphical body model and the “QUEST” provides text) is simple to use and allows the technologist to concentrate on the safety and comfort of the patient, while providing excellent reliability and image quality. These generators also have available a help service software for your laptop to assist you with calibration, configuration and APR editor.

In addition the “ODYSSEY” & “QUEST” Ultra High frequency generators optimize radiographic imaging through there simple programmability, which permits a wide variety of routine, specialized and custom procedures.

“The ODYSSEY & QUEST Ultra High frequency generator technology delivers uncompromised flexibility in every facet,” said Scott Matovich, President Quantum Medical Imaging Division of Carestream. “From varying imaging requirements to a range of settings and applications, even from digital to conventional film-based imaging, the ODYSSEY & QUEST HF Series generators can satisfy the requirements of imaging facilities worldwide.”

These generators will be on display and demonstrated at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference, November 30 – December 5 2014 in Quantum’s booth# 4729.
