In today’s edition of the MedWrench blog, I want to share a brief Q&A I had with Stuart Latimer, President of Trisonics, Inc. concerning some exciting news I heard about the company. Trisonics specializes in ultrasound service and support, ultrasound systems, ultrasound parts, and ultrasound transducers/probes. If you are looking for a one stop shop for Ultrasound be sure to look them up! See below for the Q&A.

Stuart Latimer, President at Trisonics, Inc.

Did I hear that there is some exciting news for Trisonics concerning a new distributorship?

Yes, Trisonics is very excited to announce that we have partnered with GE Healthcare in an Authorized Distributorship starting January 1 of this year. This distributorship will extend to those customers in the Women’s Health and Urology markets in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New Jersey.

What all goes along with being an “Authorized Distributor” for GE Healthcare?

Becoming an Authorized Distributor for GE Healthcare will allow Trisonics to expand our current offerings to include brand new and Gold Seal ultrasound equipment categorized within GE’s “value” segment. This segment includes quality systems such as the LOGIQ P3, LOGIQ P5, Voluson E6, and the VScan portable ultrasound system. Although Trisonics will continue to provide multi-vendor service and sales options to all of our customers, this distributorship will enable us to further assist those looking primarily for brand new equipment within the ultrasound marketplace.

What do you believe will make this distributorship with GE Healthcare a success?

All of Trisonics’ field service engineers and Customer Relations Mangers are incredibly knowledgeable of the GE systems that we will now be offering through this distributorship. We recognize that these products are top-notch in quality, performance, and reliability, and are confident that providing these options will enable us to better serve each customer and guide them to the right ultrasound solution for their exact needs.

What else is new for Trisonics?

With the tremendous amount of growth that we have been experiencing over the past year, Trisonics has decided to invest in a 24,000 sq. ft. office building located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The new building, which will open for operation this fall, will include a state-of-the-art training facility as well as plenty of room to fulfill future growth opportunities. Trisonics is also exploring other avenues to develop our in-house service capabilities with the acquisition of this new space.

Wow! Sounds like Trisonics is expanding at a fast pace?

Yes, we are expanding, and more importantly, improving our services every day. We recently brought on two more Customer Relations Managers, Barb Sheriff, RDMS, RVT and Esther Donohue, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, to help serve those customers located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. We are also looking to add more talented engineers to our team so that we can continue to grow and expand our geographic reach to all ultrasound system users interested in exceptional service solutions.
