In today’s edition of the MedWrench blog, I would like to feature another one of our most active “MedWrenchers”. This month, I would like to highlight Kyle Grozelle as our “Featured Guru” for the month of April. Kyle is one of the first people I met in our industry back at AAMI in Long Beach, California. Like myself, Kyle was somewhat new to the industry and AAMI was the first actual conference that either of us had attended.  It was obvious that Kyle was eager to grow in his position and he continues to offer as much help now as he did then. Thank you for everything that you do to help our MedWrench users Kyle!

Kyle Grozelle

How long have you been a member of MedWrench?

I’ve been active on MedWrench since about 2012. I started using it when a coworker pointed out a question on the forums. Seeing the community hop on board and help this biomed out was awesome, and since then I make sure to help engineers out whenever possible and even turn to the forums when I have a question of my own.

What aspect of MedWrench do you utilize the most?

I bounce between the Q&A forums and “My Bench”. The automatic updates on the bench allow me to see the equipment I’m interested in and topics about them. If I see a question pop up that I can answer it’s a quick way to get to the post. Searching the forums for recurring issues and information lets me know issues that are becoming more prominent and focus back in our shop to come up with quick solutions.

Where are you currently employed? What is your position there?

I currently work as the Manager of Education and Training at Summit Imaging and have been here going on 4 years now. I came to Summit out of school with the past experience of working in technical support and phone service. Part of what helped me here at Summit was the fast paced work style that I had adopted while working for T-Mobile along with a technical understanding. I began at the bench level but progressed to Technical Support Lead. I now am responsible for Summit Imaging’s Training classes and Educational opportunities including visiting local conventions and symposiums where I teach classes or speak. If you see me around say hello!

What are your hobbies?

Currently I’ve been doing a lot more photography. This is a curiosity I gained while in school and the demand for content here at Summit inspired me to have some fun with it and even use these skills for our own website. Along with the normal things like gaming, movies, paintball and cars, I also volunteer with a local band and performing arts programs. This was something I feel shaped me into an adult and I do what I can to give back whenever possible.

What is one word that describes you the best?

Dynamic.

Thank you Kyle for your continued support of MedWrench! It is because of members like you that we continue to grow! Summit Imaging offers many different training courses. Check out the Continuing Education tab on our Bulletin Board to view them!
