MedWrench Guru of the Month

In today’s edition of the MedWrench blog, I would like to feature another one of our most active “MedWrenchers”. This month, I would like to highlight Neil Blagman as our “Featured Guru” for the month of May. Neil is one of the friendliest people I have met to date in our industry and he is always will to share his knowledge on the forums! Thank you for everything that you do to help our MedWrench users Neil!

How long have you been a member of MedWrench?

I feel like I have been involved with MedWrench since day one.  As a frequent attendee of MD Expo, I had several conversations with the staff of MD Publishing about the content of MedWrench prior to its introduction, and am pleased to be a contributor to both MedWrench and TechNation.

What aspect of MedWrench do you utilize the most?

I follow the Q&A forum daily contributing to conversations whenever I can.  I feel that the large bench I have set up helps me stay current with information and questions about many different kinds of equipment.  I have sent many of my customers to the resource tabs on MedWrench equipment pages for technical documentation. I also follow the Bulletin Board for interesting blog posts and information about upcoming biomedical association meetings and future Expos.

Where are you currently employed? What is your position there?

I am currently employed at Replacement Parts Industries in Chatsworth, California.  RPI has been a leading supplier of biomedical repair parts since 1972, and I was pleased to join the staff in 2004.  Although my position is listed on my business card as a Product Development Engineer, I also provide technical support to medical repair service companies and their staff and frequently work at our booth during the MD Expo.

What are your hobbies?

My wife says my primary hobby is cooking, and boy is she grateful.  Teri and I also enjoy traveling, hiking, and biking.  In addition, we have a large vegetable garden that supplies us with lots of ingredients for my culinary endeavors.  Over the past few years I have been working on fixing up our large backyard, including building a redwood fence and gate.
