The vPad-Secure is a multi level security app for the vPad Platform, designed for organizations who need the ability to control workflow from a central location. With four levels of security, vPad-Secure enables administrators to set the level of access available to users of the vPad system.

Administration

As an administrator, you have complete control of the tablet, with access to all apps on the tablet, including Settings. The administrator can define what apps will be available to each of the lower levels, ensuring changes can not be made to the settings (functionality) of individual apps and/or to the contents of checklists and electrical safety autosequences. This level of control is suitable for multifacility hospital groups to ensure all facilities use the same/approved procedures.

Trusted User

The second level of security is the Trusted User, who is allowed access to a subset of the tablet’s apps. Suitable for department managers in each facility, the Trusted User can be given access to apps required to manage the tablets on a facility by facility basis.

End User

At the End User level, access to apps on the tablet have restricted access to editing features, ensuring that technicians all use the same tablet configuration, the same app functionality and the same checklists and electrical autosequences. No more concerns that a technician has changed a checklist, or has altered a test result. Great for accreditation concerns of traceability

Bookmarks

While a technician may need access to a larger number of apps on the tablet, on a daily basis they may only consistently use 3-4 apps. For ease of operation, these apps may be bookmarked, reducing the number of apps displayed. No more searching for your favorite app, it is easy to find when only a few apps are on display.

App Settings

Each level of security sets locks on the settings internal to the vPad apps. The ability to change vPad app settings is password protected, ensuring only approved staff members have the ability to alter settings which could change the operation of the app. Be consistent in what and how you test across your organization. Invest in the vPad system with vPad-Secure and know that you have control.
