Stockton, CA, March 8, 2017 – Conquest Imaging, a national leader for ultrasound training programs has announced the successful opening of their 2017 season. The training registrar reports 15% of Conquest’s training seats were sold prior to the opening of the school year, prompting an additional ultrasound Boot Camp to be added to the calendar to accommodate the high demand. Global Training Director, Jim Rickner, stated, “We can be confident classes will fill up quickly, especially with the addition of the E10 and Aplio 500 class this year.”  The addition of GE Voluson E10 and Toshiba Aplio 500 were part of the $100,000 technology investment announced earlier this year.

During Opening Day festivities, students and employees enjoyed using the new electronic white board and sampling the new technology. Yesterday’s class was the first group to use tablet computers to interact with the presentation being simulcast on the whiteboard.  Students obtain digital manuals, support videos and training presentations to take home with them on the tablets they receive at the start of each class.

Today’s student, Anthony Passalacqua, Supervisor, Sodexo CTM, stated, “I enjoyed the class very much. The information was in depth but not overwhelming. Jim made sure we understood each topic before proceeding.”

Students value Conquest Imaging’s training program as it covers system aspects more clearly and thoroughly than the classes they take with the OEM – as stated in multiple 2016 course evaluations.  “The ‘real-world’ approach to training from a Biomed’s perspective is what makes the difference,” Rickner indicated.

These ultrasound training programs are highly interactive, which helps students learn by “doing” vs. “listening.”  Hands-on instruction with actual Toshiba, GE, Philips and Siemens systems in the classroom is an essential component to every training course offered.

Despite the investment and upgrade in technology, Conquest will continue to offer scholarships to Active Duty Military, Veterans, the VA, and California Medical Instrumentation Association (CMIA) members.

Rickner is a highly sought after training expert industry wide and speaker at national events covering imaging and medical instrumentation.  He has served Conquest Imaging for the past 11 years as a field service engineer as well as the Global Training Director.
